Painting abstract on paper and on canvas.

So very cold here in Melbourne at the moment and so nice to be closed up in my warm studio. Having just made a new series of digital works recently (not exhibited and so not showing much of them just yet), it is lovely to switch to the freedom that comes with making abstract. Sometimes it can happen so quickly and at other times there can be lots of corrections and cover ups. I prefer to quit when that happens but have found that mistakes can be useful after taking a break and looking at them with fresh eyes.

Here are two paintings I made this month. The blue one is quite large and on canvas and the other one is small and on paper with several layers of paint. Hope you like them.
